Cookies

No tracking cookies, no annoying banners. Learn how I keep sanderkorf.nl privacy-friendly without compromising your personal data.

Good news: I don't use tracking cookies. That's right, no annoying cookie banners or digital breadcrumbs following you around.

What are cookies anyway?

Cookies are tiny files that websites store on your device to remember things about you. They can track where you go, what you click and basically everything you do online. Pretty creepy when you think about it.

Why no tracking cookies?

I believe in keeping things simple and respecting your privacy. Here's why I said no to tracking cookies:

  • Privacy matters: Your online journey is your business, not mine. I don't need to know where you've been or what you're doing.
  • Less noise: No cookie banners, no pop-ups, no interruptions. Just content.
  • Focus on what matters: I'd rather spend time building useful features than tracking your every move.

What I actually use

To be completely transparent, I do use some privacy-friendly tools to make sure the website is working well:

Vercel Analytics

I use Vercel Analytics to understand basic stuff like which pages are popular and where visitors come from. But here's the thing: it doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect any personal information. It's all anonymous, server-side analytics that respect your privacy.

Vercel Speed Insights

I also use Vercel Speed Insights to keep the site fast. Nobody likes a slow website (including me), so this helps me spot and fix performance issues.

Both of these tools are designed with privacy in mind. No tracking, no profiling, no selling your data to advertisers.

What this means for you

  • Zero tracking: I'm not following you around the internet. Browse freely.
  • No annoying pop-ups: You won't see those "This website uses cookies" banners here.
  • Faster experience: Fewer scripts running means faster page loads.

Your browser, your rules

Even though I keep things minimal, you're always in control. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies if you want. Here's how:
